Professional Mental Health Consultations for Aviation Professionals

Dr Andreas Schenk is an Advisor in Psychiatry to the CAA and NATS. As an independent Consultant Psychiatrist he offers specialised mental health assessments for Pilots, Air Traffic Controllers and Cabin Crew. He prioritises a personalised wellbeing approach, aviation safety and regulatory compliance to support pilots and ATCOs in obtaining EASA and CAA Class I, II, and III Medical Certifications.

Dr Andreas Schenk has been working with the aviation industry since 2007 and has over 25 years experience working as Consultant Psychiatrist in a wide variety of settings within the UK and abroad. His work experience includes working within a forensic psychiatry unit, leading an inpatient psychotherapy unit and supervising inpatient treatment of  UK military personnel. He has been repeatedly called upon to provide expert psychiatric opinion in Court as well as Fitness to Practice Hearings of the GMC, NMC, GDC and RCVS .  He strives to offer the highest calibre of professional services and is dedicated to a multifaceted approach to psychiatry. He has completed Parts I and II of the American Medical Licensure Examinations (USMLE) and was a founding member of the European Lifestyle Medicine Organisation and the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine. Dr Schenk has a passion for teaching and is frequently asked to talk on various topics in Aviation Psychiatry. In his spare time he enjoys open water swimming and analogue photography.
